Wedding Ring Redesign: Transforming Heirloom Diamonds

Wedding Ring Redesign: Transformations I Made for My Clients

Before and after pictures are my favorite in any topic. In my world, I love to transform an old piece of jewelry into a brand new.

I thought I’d share some jewelry transformations I’ve made for my clients, to give you a little gem inspiration! We all have pieces in our jewelry box that we haven’t worn in years due to the piece not fitting, or it not being our style.

Here is one project on an old wedding ring,

Before: Old Ring

My customer inherited her mother’s jewelry, including her wedding ring, 2.3 carat Center diamond with round diamond accents.

Rings are attached to make one piece.

Although pretty, it wasn’t my customer’s ideal style. When it comes to our jewelry, and especially our wedding/engagement ring, it’s important that you absolutely LOVE it. Not only is a wedding ring a symbol of marriage, but it’s a piece we’ll wear every day for the rest of our lives. It should be everything you’ve dreamed of.

After: New Wedding Redesigned Ring

My client has always loved the timeless halo look on a round brilliant diamond.

This was a great quality, an over-2-carat center stone that we needed to highlight. My client settled on a French Pave setting in platinum with diamonds covering the whole ring, essentially. We didn’t spare any details with an eternity band, halo, diamond prongs, and even diamonds on the base of the ring! Approximately 1 carat of diamonds covers this ring, and it couldn’t have turned out more perfect for my client.

An antique center diamond was passed down from her mom. A modern setting for her. 20 years of marriage celebration. It was a joy and honor to be a part of this project.

Stay tuned for more wedding ring redesign posts in the future!
